This micro car can run with a top speed of 85 kmph and gives a range of 150 kilometres on a single charge. The car also supports fast charging along with swappable battery pack system. The micro car works with assisted power steering along with world class interiors and exterior styling.

Ultra smooth suspension system helps to ride this car on Indian road conditions.

Anti Lock Braking System for safety, Regenerative braking system for energy conservation and much more features are included in this car.

Most importantly for a joyful ride, a 48 volt electric air conditioning system is equipped in this car.

So, it looks like you like this car and might have a couple of questions in mind like: Who gave life to this car? When it’s going to launch? What’s the story behind?

Here’s the answer for the questions you have –  Delight is a Hyderabad based Automotive startup established in the year 2014. 3 students of BTech. 2nd year Madiraju Vamsi, Mungde Shivaraj and  Joyal Joshua decided to make an electric micro car with a motor to reduce multiple problems faced by the motorcyclists because motorcycle accidents are more than 35% compared to other vehicle accidents in India.

Especially two wheeler owners need to face problems like climatic conditions, pollution and dust which is affecting health also safety and privacy problems for women Riders and elders so, to overcome these problems the young team started RND on vehicles at a well known local workshop in Hyderabad.

After 10,000 hours of hard work and studies on various powertrain systems, suspension layouts, Automotive electrical fabrication, Automotive painting, Vehicle Dynamics, steering layouts and government norms they finally made Delight microcar. It is fully designed and developed in India to encourage electric mobility.

Air conditioning is one of the unique features in this vehicle and the team has also filed the Indian design patent for the concept and the approval is in process.

Delight has showcased and presented this vehicle at T-Hub, a meeting organised by an Automotive startup incubation Company Auto Nebula, Pune. Their team got huge response from tech-experts, IIT Hyderabad students and investors.

Not only electric Micro Cars, the startup also made electric vans and electric three wheeler as well. They manufactured an electric Van shuttle with a top speed of 60 km per hour, range about 150 km per charge which includes a swappable battery with 6 to 10 seating in a price of 4 to 6 lacs. Also they have designed and developed electric three wheelers for a startup company called BBM, these three wheeler comes with a powerful 2Kw electric motor with 6 Kw Lithium-ion battery pack.

Finally they are planning to launch this two seater micro car with a price tag of around 2.8 lacs to 3.5 lacs in India and we can expect the vehicle launch within a couple of years from now.

    1. The load capacity of this vehicle is upto 300kgs.

      As far as the launch date is concerned, there is no specific date revealed yet however, it is expected to be launched in October 2021.
